It’s been estimated that over 80% of all adults will have back trouble sometime during their lives. Add to that the millions of people who suffer from neck injuries and resulting pain and the millions more who suffer from headaches, and you can easily see why so many doctor visits and physical therapy visits are devoted to addressing these health problems.

Orthopedic manual therapy – This specialized form of physical therapy is delivered by the hands. The goal of manual therapy is to reduce muscle tension and normalize joint mobility in an effort to decrease pain caused by spasms, tension or joint dysfunction. Many of our physical therapists are board-certified orthopedic specialists.
Spinal stabilization – This form of exercise is designed to strengthen muscles to support your spine and help prevent low back pain.
Therapeutic exercise – Many patients benefit from using resistance machines, free weights and other exercise equipment to encourage flexibility and strength.
TENS & electrical stimulation – Electrical nerve and muscle stimulation methods may be used to treat pain and muscle spasms.
Ultrasound – This modality offers deep heating therapy that can help deep joint tissues and improve stretching and flexibility in connective tissue. It is particularly effective for repetitive-stress injuries and inflammation.
COLD LASER – This painless, nontoxic, noninvasive treatment reduces pain and promotes healing. In our clinical practice, cold laser therapy is used to increase the speed of tissue repair and reduce inflammation. Cold laser therapy is especially effective during the early stages of acute injury treatment.
Because no two patients are the same, each patient’s specific treatment program may use one, two or several therapies and/or modalities to help relieve pain and add flexibility and movement to life.
